Brian Wilcox

Brian Grew up in South Bend Indiana and graduated from high school in 1982. He attended Great Lakes Bible College with the goal of becoming a Christian Camp Manager. Realizing that camp ministry positions do not open up very often, he decided to pursue a field in youth ministry where he would still be able to work with children. While in college he worked with the youth at the Bangor Church of Christ from 1984 - 1986.  He finished his college education with an internship in South Bend at the Westside Church of Christ the summer after his senior year.  He married Jeana (Crain) in September 1986.  He was hired as the Youth Minister for the Milford Christian Church in early Mary of 1987  and served through 1991, during this time they had two children Seth (1988) and Jael (1990).  They left to serve at the Cedar Lake Church of Christ in 1991.  He served at Cedar Lake 11 years during which time he became active on the Board of Directors for Lake James Christian Assembly, an Usher for the Notre Dame Football Program and in 1997 they adopted JD (Joseph Derick) into their family and have enjoyed having him light up their life.  Since 2002 Brain has done pulpit supply  in numerous area churches and worked 1 1/2 years in a water well business, 1 year with the Better Business Bureau, and 3 years now with Culligan Of Kendallville as a salesperson.  Brian spent 8 months with Coburn Corners as the interim minister before becoming the minister on April 15.  Brian is available 24/7 to be contacted by anyone for any need.  He will spend 1 - 2 evenings a week at the church and is also available for counseling, meetings, visitation, surgeries, emergencies, and any other instances.  He is looking forward to the future and what the Lord has in store for the church at the Corners!  Jeana, his wife of 20 years has been a substitute teacher for DeKalb Central and Lakewood Park Christian School.  She currently works as a paraprofessional with the Mild, Mentally Handicapped.  Seth graduates 2007 and will be heading off to Kentucky Christian University for football and youth ministry.  Jael is active in youth group, mission trips, cheerleading and works at Pizza Hut in Auburn.  JD is active in soccer and football, as well as the youth group
